Why Attend:
This is an in-person event targeting suppliers based within the boundaries of Sunderland with some experience and success in bidding for public sector contracts wanting to expand their understanding. The event will support participants develop their bid writing skills to support their business.
The event has been organised as part of the delivery of the Sunderland Supply Chain Programme in collaboration between Sunderland City Council, RTC North and the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO).
The event presents an opportunity to network you whilst listening to speakers from Sunderland City Council and NEPO who will deliver a training session on bid writing.
The event will help suppliers with bid writing experience to review and further develop their bid writing skills. This will be done by exploring examples of practical hints, tips, approaches and strategies to help your understanding and preparations.
In the half day session, you will:
• Develop an understanding of the overarching bid writing process and what makes a strong tender submission
• Build skills in applying strategy and bid themes to a tender submission
• Consider the use of AI in the bid writing process
• Learn how to improve writing techniques specific to the tender process to create high-quality responses, with concise writing while working to word limits
• Ultimately understand how to increase tender success rates

This event is aimed at suppliers based in the City of Sunderland local authority area that are interested in developing their bid writing skills with the aim of improving their future success rates.
Who's delivering the event?
Our speaker is from Executive Compass who have supported UK-based bidders in winning over £1bn of revenue in public sector procurement awards. In the last 12 months, the team at Executive Compass has helped companies secure over £5bn worth of public and private sector contracts.
